Peter is a committed industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in Hospitality Management. After graduating from the University of Georgia and the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute of Culinary School, Peter began his career as an executive chef and restaurateur in the Boston area. Through this work, he developed an understanding of and appreciation for the fine balance between culinary quality and cost management required by the hospitality industry.
In the late 1990's, with many years of experience perfecting this balance, Peter shifted his expertise to the catering business where he focused on the sales and marketing of the 6th largest catering company in the state of Massachusetts. His culinary expertise and acune business practices positively transformed the operations into the leading catering company in the New England Region.
Upon moving to central Virginia and focusing his career in both food and beverage and hospitality management Peter founded a full service hospitality company that worked in the golf, hotel, banquet and restaurant industry. Peter has used his financial acumen and understanding of the hospitality culture to analyze each client’s cost to revenue ratios and determine its financial profitability while fostering a positive cultural experience.
In 2017 Peter founded Stacks Foods & Catering, he saw a need in Staunton, VA for Northern style food and catering. His practices today are a testament of what he learned of many years in the hospitality industry. Peter continues to hone his skills in culinary and business by trial and error to provide his customers with the best ingredients and business practices.
